Jet2.com has already flown over 10 million business and leisure passengers to over 40 exciting city, sun and ski destinations from Belfast International, Blackpool, Edinburgh Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle Airports. Around 25% of our passengers fly into the region from various destinations across Europe. In conjunction with the many organizations responsible for promoting tourism in the North of England, Jet2.com actively promotes inbound tourism to the Yorkshire, Manchester and surrounding areas. Indeed we even have “Jet2 Yorkshire” and “Jet2 Manchester” emblazoned across some of our aircraft!
The company has a large fleet of Boeing 737–300 and Boeing 757-200 passenger aircraft operating scheduled low cost as well as corporate and specialist passenger charters.
Customers for these specialist charters include a number of major passenger airlines, cruise companies such as Hebridean, major tour operators including Thomas Cook Holidays, Thomson Holidays and Cosmos, famous orchestras, major automobile manufacturers including Audi and Toyota and many Premier Lague football clubs including Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Aston Villa as well as the Scottish Rugby Union team and many club and country rugby and football supporters.
The company's contract cargo division has been awarded a long–term contract by the Royal Mail (who has been a valued customer for over 25 years), to be their leading aircraft provider and to operate 7 Boeing 737–300 aircraft, flying domestic mail on nightly services throughout their newly introduced, postal distribution air network.
In the Distribution Division, Fowler Welch–Coolchain is the country’s leading distributor of temperature–controlled fresh produce and horticultural goods and has contracts with many of the UK’s leading supermarkets, national wholesalers and other retailers within the UK, as well as offering services to and from the Netherlands.
Look out for the brightly painted Fowler Welch–Coolchain lorries, some even show advertisements for Jet2.com on the trailers!
